What is the difference between 1100 and 3105 aluminum coil?
1100 is 99% pure aluminum: very ductile, excellent for forming and corrosion resistance, with low strength. 3105 carries manganese and some magnesium: stronger and stiffer, used in construction and parts that need rigidity.
What is the maximum coil width Almexa makes?
48 in (1,219 mm) in the 1000 and 3000 series, and 36 in (914 mm) in the 5000 series (5005, 5052 and 5754), per Almexa's September 2026 fact sheet.
What is the thinnest coil Almexa makes?
Today 0.0177 in (0.45 mm), or 0.0197 in (0.50 mm) in the 5000 series. The equipment being installed at the plant will allow 0.0118 in (0.3 mm) by the end of 2027.
What is the minimum order for aluminum coil?
Quotes are per metric ton and depend on alloy and gauge. State your monthly volume and the sales executive tells you whether full coils or a partner service center is the better fit for small volumes.
Does the coil ship with a mill test report?
Yes. Every lot ships with a certificate of chemistry and mechanical properties, plus origin documentation for your customer or customs broker.
