Aluminum alloys made by Almexa
Almexa casts and rolls ten aluminum alloys in the 1000, 3000 and 5000 series at its plant in Cuautitlán Izcalli, Mexico. This page sums up what each series contains, which tempers and widths are made and what they are used for; the most requested alloys have their own page.

| Series | Alloys | Main element | Tempers | Maximum width |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1000 | 1050, 1100, 1350 | None (99% or more aluminum) | O, H1X, H2X, H3X | 48 in (1,219 mm) |
| 3000 | 3003, 3004, 3104, 3105 | Manganese | O, H1X, H2X, H3X | 48 in (1,219 mm) |
| 5000 | 5005, 5052, 5754 | Magnesium | O, H3X | 36 in (914 mm) |
All of them are non heat treatable alloys: strength is set by cold work and annealing, that is, by the temper. Almexa does not make 2000, 6000 or 7000 series alloys.
Alloy pages
- 1100 aluminum 99% pure, the most ductile
- 3003 aluminum general purpose sheet with manganese
- 3105 aluminum construction: facades, roofing and profiles
- 5052 aluminum 5000 series, higher strength, up to 36 in

Frequently asked questions
Which aluminum alloys does Almexa make?
1050, 1100 and 1350 in the 1000 series; 3003, 3004, 3104 and 3105 in the 3000 series; and 5005, 5052 and 5754 in the 5000 series. All are non heat treatable alloys: strength is set by the temper.
Does Almexa make 6061 aluminum?
No. Almexa does not make 2000, 6000 or 7000 series alloys. They are heat treatable alloys, typical of aerospace and automotive outer body panels.
